Sourcing quality baits

I tend to find that sourcing quality bait is difficult because I don't use "Social Media" at all. Does anybody else find that or is it just myself. Numerous occasions I've walked into a tackle shop and asked what fresh bait they have, to which I was told "got nowt mate". Then next person comes in and their all pally with eachother and gets a load of fresh bait. I've came to the conclusion that if you're not a "regular" then you don't get bait as and when you need it.

Often bait is booked in advance. It just takes asking a few questions. You don't need to be on social media. Always worth phoning a few days ahead to see what's available.

Ollies bait in Whitley bay does 2/3 runs for top quality bait a week. when the seas away more, and only put's worm's away for lads that have booked worm on the phone , all the worm that don't get booked up even cancelations he will sort you out no bother . Just go in get to know paul behind the counter if you already ain't , cart wings to Cuttle , frozen blacks , all frozen bait is there and fresh worm second to non goes the distance for the lads .

Totally agree with you kelpy kid, it is getting harder and harder to get quality bait, even when you think you've found a good quality bait shop their are still times you get let down even after you've phoned up and ordered well in advance, I've recently been thinking of going and having a go at digging my own bait but wouldn't know where to start.
