south beacons today in the newbiggin open

Fished the above today in the open. Had 4 codling 3 to weigh in. Biggest bein 3lb and finished 13th. Over the moon with the result n won a greys boat rod too. Bait used yellows crab mussel cocktails

Nice one, well done. i fished just off Pan Post at Amble, loads of kelp and no fish, jacked in at mid day and headed home for a lovely roast dinner and world war z.
Still nice to get out for an hour or three

Yeah 1st was anthony eke with 6 for 18lb from alnmouth. N 2nd chris bell with 3 for 12lb from the same mark h/fish was 5lb4 cnt mind who had it.

good day then, i fished up craster 2nd cast my tip ring fell to bits so i managed bind it up and carry on but had to go near the harbour as it was not as heavy there .still never had a bite better luck next time eh .jamcod

Id just like to add what an exellent prize table there was. Think there was a pick off the table down to 14oz

I think a canny few blanked mate. The fish werent there in the numbers expected in those conditions for some reason
