Hi All, just heard there is an Open run by South Meadow Well SAC on Boxing day, does anyone know anything about it Times, boundries etc? cheers

I knew I'd stumbled on this one somewhere yesterday - here we go, courtesy of Chronicle Live:

For anglers north of the Tyne, the South Meadowell SAC are holding a Boxing Day Open. Registration 9am at the Ice Factory, North Shields Fish Quay with fishing from 10am-3pm.

Entry is £3 all classes with a 100% payout for first, second and third heaviest single fish.

No details given on boundaries etc. I'm afraid but hope this helps.

I fished it last year and don't think their was any boundaries at all dont hold me to that though

It was won with a 1lb 9oz flounder, sorry I don't remember the fellas name. I managed the only size codling (36cm) for joint 2nd with two other lads at 14oz There was a couple more lads managed to weigh in small flatties as well.

Was nice to fish the refurbished fish-quay, plenty of little codlings & poddlers but only the one size I'm afraid - seems there are still next to no fish about
