south shields pier, parking?

Hello all, I'm after some advice on parking near ssp, what time does the regular car park close? And where's the best place to stick ya motor if your doing an all nighter!!?

Hi Rocker, you can park just outside of the car park at the bottom of the pier at the L/Hand side of the fairground. it is still a quid for 24 hrs, or free on ocean rd or on the road up by the parks, and only a few mins walk .

The regular car park at the bottom of the pier outside the italian's (essy's) closes at midnight as far as i'm aware, or park for free at the side of marine park,ocean road or law top or as said at the side of the fairground

i used to park in radar stations car park but not sure if you can these days

The very front section of the pier carpark running parrellel to the road, where the electric charging bays are, doesnt get locked. Spaces are limited in this section but I have never struggled to get one.

You still have to pay here though!

Ocean road/park road is not free now and the car park has gone upto £2 odd, Shields had a crack down on parking this year and alot of area's have been made ticket or disc holders only.

The traffic wardens made a mint the back end of the summer...l

you can still park at the radar station mate its been empty for months thats were i park everytime had no bother or ticket
