Spinning fixed spool

Can anyone recommend a decent fixed spool for spinning? My Ryobi 4000 has a problem with the bail arm and think it may be best to just buy a new one as I've had it about 7/8 years now.

Totally depends on your price range and marks you looking to fish with it mate (ie: how much line you need it to hold). Plenty good reels about, wont go far wrong looking at reels by Shimano or other well known brands

Only go onto South Shields pier and the rocks at marsden way with it spinning mate. Isn't gonna be use for casting miles or anything, got an abu multiplier for the best mate.

Any Shimano reel mate, I use a Shimano Exage 4000 for my spinning, that's in the 50-60 price range. I do also use the Shimano Hyperloop 4000, that's 15 quid and apart from it being light and plastic and cheap, I don't really see a difference yet, maybe time will tell. I've been using the exage for over a year now and the Hyperloop for a few months, I only bought it as a cheap back u reel but found it helps having the 2 reels to chop and change.

It's always handy to have 2 reels. Think mine is able to be fixed because I've found the part. Already got an Abu fixed spool as a back up but fingers crossed this one can be fixed because its served me well lol.

Have a look at the rovex f/s mate, a lot of bang for your buck.

Nicky I bought the Rovex 6000 for £40.00 thought it would be OK for a season, the bail arm snapped after 6 sessions pure plastic crap. Another one with a snapped arm was spotted in the same shop, cheap Australian crap best avoided unless used for freshwater fishing im my opinion/experience.

You could try a shimano catana fb 25000 for £27.99 from gerrys /fishing online m8s got one nice reel for the money m8

I stand corrected lol. Just read on the Whitby site about them, I'll stick with shimano for my f/s.

Ive got the 4000, to be honest only got because it was cheap(14quid new) off ebay, its afew year old now gets abit of abuse but still going stong, although i wouldnt pay 40quid for one.

Thanks for the info lads. My reel is sorted but gonna have a look and see which one would be best as a new one as I have no idea lol.
