got down the peir 2 hours before high to find it packed all the way along, headed for the end ne chance so fished near the bolders getting snagged every cast, the long distance casters were pulling in canny whites two at a time seen codling 2lb and 3lb caught then a 5lb came in off the end it went quite so most ppl left so i moved to the little wall still hadnt caught out and lost loads of gear i got a tiny codling and white only getting snagged every other cast it picked up again between 8 / 9 seen a few more canny whites comming in i give up at 10 running out of gear carnt see me going back there

Did you try the brigade hut or a bit further along the Slab area before you get to the first gate this area produces fish and you won't lose gear if you cast 40 yards out

Don't go as far as the first gate fish from the brigade hut up to the number 11 mark you'l see the numbers painted on the edge of the pier as long as cast over 40 yds you'l be ok, fish it 2 hours before and 2 hours after high water

Try the 11 or 12 fished there last night never lost a rig in 3 hours fishing .have lost rig every other cast higher up the pier most times i fish.

Unlucky mate, that pier is like marmite ! you love it or hate. Plenty patience and experience, you will soon know where the what are marks and what aren't marks there ;)

If you've bought rigs it will work out expensive so use the rigs you've bought to copy from and make your own you'l save a lot if cash and once you've made a few of each it will get quicker each time you'l soon have a wallet full of rigs and its a better felling to catch on your own rigs you'l find plenty tips on the nesa home page or just ask any of the lads on here
