Fished the rail end area of the pier today between 1.30 and 5.00. Fished with two rods, one close in and one further out using rag and mackerel. It was quiet fishing wise today, the people I spoke to said there hadn’t been much caught including mackerel. I ended up with four flounder with one of them being a decent size and all four of them took the hooks so deep I couldn’t get them out. The wind was a nuicance today, last thing I expected with the forecast for it being flat calm. It might have been with the wind rattling the rod tips that I missed the bites for the fish and they ended up swallowing the hooks. The fish were caught on the two rods with either the rag or mackerel bait. Didn't bother with pics, you all know what flounders look like
My batteries ran out on the radio so I took off home to watch the match. Great start to the season for the Toon!
