fished pier for about an hour last nite until pier fella closed gate, was fish a cast, mainly just under size codlin with the odd 1 at 37cm, didnt even have a chance to peel another crab and the rod was noddin away!

then went to walkway as pier close and prity much the same story with a couple of sizers thrown in. all in all another enjoyable nite.

pity you had get off pier, but at least you had a canny night

shot says your thinkin of having a first light if you do give is a bell dont do them now as a have trouble getting bike round the gate
 
Turned up just as the Safety womble was ushering people off. Fished the Groyne instead for an hour had one little coaley. Then had my mate wetting himself laughing when I caught a jellyfish when bringing my line in, but at least I caught 2 different species to his nowt!

Does anyone know why they shut the pier last night??

they've been doing it now since may 16th this year, hoping its a summer thing or theres going to be a lot of unhappy anglers when winter comes around if there putting anglers off when they shut the gate, gate get shut 3.30 pm -- 4 pm in winter
