Still no plaice 4 me. Fished 42 from 6 til 11pm, got nowt but Titchy dabs, then moved up to the small wall. Got a fish a chuck there til I came home at 2 am.

2 sized codling at 42cm each, couple of Tommies n flats. Blacks did the damage. Total 12 fish.

Wish I could have stopped longer cos I reckon I would have had another decent codling or two.

That's 6 sized codling for me in 4 sessions on the end of ssp, all taken in the dark. Freezer is filling up with cod fillets!

Nice one mate I watched you go onto end we were on Tynemouth few fish but no sized coddies or plaice thought was worth a try as we had fresh crab still canny night

Was that U shouting when the boat passed you close in on the way out? Fookin @rsehole or something like that? I heard it, even if he didn't!

You've been doing well on the codling recently mate. Shame about the Plaice; there didn't appear to be any caught from the seaward side on Sunday either the ones that I know about that did come in came from the first gate area. Got a feeling the water may still be abit murky for them to come from the open sea marks in any great numbers just yet.

As for the boats, I had a few choice words for one of the small yacht sailors on Sunday - the whole bloody bay to sail and he was making a beeline straight for me. Closer and closer he came until I politely asked him to change course

There were two plaice from around the 42 mark yesterday mate.

Unlucky on the plaice mate but at least your getting size codling if the wind stays down I might give the pier a shot on Thursday
