I keep reading about the 2nd gate and the toilet block but I can't see them as I walk along the pier. Where are those marks ?

Also could anyone advise where to fish on the end of the pier at various states of the tide ? I hear it can be very snaggy and I am not the longest caster so any advice would be appreciated.

Magpies, if you head along the pier at any time of the tide you will notice where most of the lads congregate during certain conditions and parts of the tide. So long as you can chuck 75yds+ you can have access to most of the marks on the pier.

The link posted above is cracking and will give you more info than you could ever take in!!

If you ever need a fishing buddy drop me a line and I can head along with ya or just head down as most of the lads on the site will be found on the pier at some point!!

Second gates at about 38/39 mate, there is no gate as such but used to be. All you can see now is whats left of the big hinges on the wall

The link Steward1971 gave us by ( Medlar ) is by Jimmy on here, one of the best write ups of a mark ive seen. Dont know why they dont put it on here and make it a Sticky, it would save people having to go on other sites to get info on Shields Pier.
