went to south shields pier today got there around 9.45am walked along to the 44 shot fished there till 3.45 pm not a thing few other lads fishing total nowt all day. bait for the day rag, blacks, crab, bluey ,squid, two cans pop & two pies not even a nibble all day apart from me pies . lost some gear just to top it off .
back home two pints and a nice curry hit the pit , there always the next time.
still a good day out in the fresh air :red::red:

yes dale, I was fishing the blocks using slappys and crab, not even a bite mate. el blanco. lol.

Poor wasn't it. I fished 38 ish and had a lobster on the big rod and just an assortment of little coley's on float gear. Loads of crustacean activity, hooks coming back stripped.

I did think me and my m8 would do better with the choice of bait on offer, but none of the lads on the end of the pier or just down from us did no better conditions in my opinion perfect.
but that's fishing for you. anyway it was a day out with good company and good crack. still enjoyed the session.
have to say you do a laugh of some of the people that turn up on the pier, they are not anglers they are just a joke.
