Not getting involved in the argument as I saw the fish In the rock pool with the 1 wrasse and 2 pouting in the rock pool I thought he was letting them come round as they looked small. But he def had a nice wrAsse think it was his last fish. Didn't see the bigger fish in the pool that why I thought they were there to pull round.

Again not aimed at any ones club and just personal views I think the legal limit shoul be raised. But compared to the damage comercial fisherman do to the stock, shore anglers don't even make a dent.

David shut your mouth, some of the fish were poor I thought wrasse was a fish that clubs didn't weigh in, most comps up north don't and the pouting wouldn't of filled my dog never mind a human. So is this language ok David Hayley. I may have not known the clubs poor choice of wrasse or pouting size but I know 4 fish suffocating in a tiny rock pool is poor, you happy with this reply David is it simple for you to understand????? I didn't know he was in comp and I didn't get advice of mark as I fish it often, just thought he was ignorant to fishing and wild life... if big Phil tells me those fish were dead before put in rock pool .... well he can fish with someone else..don't **** down my back and tell me its raining David Hayley, is this concise enough... fin seeker those xx in post were kisses lol

That's all I do lol he was telling us about the shelf that runs along, pretty new mark to me really not a place I will be rushing back to.

I put a pouting back the same size it died but seal pup took it later on so I was happy, sorry for rant put passionate about nature, yeah should of probs said something at time, but insight is a wonderful thing.... legal limit is a contentious issue..... fish need time to grow to be mature enough to breed but then you see commercial fishermen kill thousands of infant fish.. its a head batterer.

He would have been putting them in a pool to see wether or not to weigh them in later..

If he didn't think he had enough to frame he would have put them back, possibly alive..

fish need water through gills they suffocated, I know I'm preaching to people who couldn't give a ****... but we should !!!!

Great "debate". This is why I go freshwater match fishing in summer and some of winter. I've always thought size limits should be raised myself and that certain fish which are not edible should be returned not counted in matches ie wrasse. But that's just my view possible not others view lol.

if fishing a match on a pier say you catch a wrasse pouting or whatever you put it back ie drop it over the pier how many survive it gets complicated.

Your saying fish need time to breed. does that mean you never keep codling until they get to breeding size of around 55 cm.

No he doesn't actually unless it's bleeding or deep hooked regardless of size I he thinks it will survive it goes back.
