St. Peter's Basin - No Fishing Sign

I see a sign has appeared again, this time without the Port of Tyne endorsement but still reading - "No Fishing at any time" and something about a big fine. This issue has been raised before but I can't find the original post. I think it has been accepted that some citizen is putting the sign up themselves. I've just e-mailed POT to check again the legality of this sign, if as I suspect they say they know nowt about I will be asking what action can be taken as this little NIMBY is really starting to pee me off. Hopefully they'll say it can be ripped down.

Anyone else got any info?

I thank you - The reason I couldn't find the original post was because I didn't look :D

I'll wait to see wait POT say then might have a wee stroll past with a pair of snips.

Is he big this fella that keeps putting them up btw :red:

Just had a thought - gonna knock me own version up - "Creating your own laws and posting illegal signs is illegal - twice! Maximum fine, removal of sign! Port of Tyne"

OK enough of the poetry already

there's also 'nee drinking' type signs on every post now as well

had a little chat with the rather sexy, (but just a tiny bit intimidating in 'insists to be on top' kind of way) Lady police person that was putting them up

she knew nowt about them (the NIMBY signs that is)

Interim Solution - cracked it - I'm putting up a sign that says "No Unauthorised Signs maximum penalty may be imposed" I'll make sure I've splet unauthorised properly of course.

no advertising please just keep it to simple leaflet bags (useful for getting rid of ya rubbish )in the letterbox please bag ya rags every day LOL
