can anyone tell me how the beach outside the staincliffe hotel has been fishing recently or not as im am thinking of venturing out there on monday over low water either that or the huegh...and replies would be much appriciated daz

Not one for the Staincliff but was on the heugh couple of days back and just small stuff about. With the sea picking up it might push some bigger fish in.

fished the heugh friday night to saturday morning, saw a couple of 2lbers landed managed a very small codling myself but nothing to write home, about , the sea was flat calm, but if it gets away in the next couple of days i think it will definitely improve. as for the staincliffe best at low water look for the deep water gully's that's where they are lurking.

couple of lads from work fished staincliffe over low water one day last week shown me a pic had 10 cod between the two of them got told thursday was canny on the huegh too definatley goin out monday night tho just undecided by the 2
