I remember there being a few SLF fans on here. My wife doesn\'t understand me, perhaps you will LOL

This Christmas, we never got each other presents. Last year was a bad year for us both, so we made a pact - no presents, but we\'ll treat ourselves each to something in the sales.

For some strange reason, she doesn\'t understand my joy at my \'bargain ;)

I was over the moon :D

Haven\'t got the balls to actually play it, but that\'s how it is when you\'re a Southern Puff like me :D

In was really peed off the other week. Some idiot on another forum distracted me and I missed out on a Suspect Device tour jacket, brand new, unworn, etc. This was my consolation.

I\'ve sold collectible figurines for years, but never collected anything myself. However, I\'m considering old punk vinyl now. Got a few old ones kicking around, but they\'re mostly worn through playing :D

it\'s an expensive thing to get into collecting old vinyl as they can fetch allsorts of big prices, most of the old punk/new wave stuff came in a couple of different colours/sleeves.. but I think it would be satisfying having some quality releases in ya hands/on the record deck.I became a bit of an addict for the American punk stuff and spent a fortune on the stuff when I was younger, now I wonder where most of that stuff ended up?

i do a bit selling on ebay of vinyl but mostly cd\'s. vinyl is so hard to gage on how good quality it is. i might think something is in a1 condition but a buyer may think otherwise. saying that if you have something that is rare and valuble that theory sometimes goes out the window. the who, my generation on the brunswick label, in good nick used to make 150-200 quid but the best cd to get a hold of is or was a few months back now thats what i call music 8. one went last year for 300 quid lol.
sorry for getting off the subject lads but just got carried away :D

In 1977 the A&M label signed the Pistols and sacked them after a couple of days/weeks so they burned the majority of the official 1st pressing of God save the Queen and the Pistols turned to Virgin,a few of the A&M pressing were found throughout the country,One of these copies was found in Woolies bargain bin in Ashington by a Mr Lang, worth around £3000-£4000 now!

lucky , lucky, lucky mother. i take it you are from ashington RGF, do ya get to the central for the meinhof bikers nights or down to bubbles for bank hols, they sometimes have some good bands on.

cheers

now and again Mark,do not get up there much mate, pretty much crap up the street now as most of the youth in Ashington just get full of coke an go mental, kicking the shite out people just cos they may be walkin about alone etc...canny night out Ashington if you fancy a fight every ten seconds...

its not that bad lol, me wor las and a couple of mates normally go over to the central for gigs 2-3 times a year and if i can get time off for good behaviour down to bubbles for a bank hol drinking sesion with some music chucked in. only once saw a little trouble and that was caused by a friends friend who was that drunk he thought he could pull anything lol. he was mistaken and got a bit of a slapping from the lass he tried to tap and then her boyfriend. we had to leave shortly afterwards as it all started to get a bit hairy. he spoilt my afternoon that time, but as a rule its ok ;)

cheers

is mcallam stil playing for slf im sure he did away to america last time i spoke to him he was promising all kinds of goodies

To be honest they played at a rally that i was part of the committee running it.
Came across as a bunch of twats.
Seem to think they were still some huge stars and had a huge rider.
I had one idiot fan pogging up and down on my shoulders,i was running front of stage security, asked him several times to stop and he didn\'t.
Smacked him in the mouth in the end.
I would never again book them for an event.

i have to disagree with you there paul. i have seen the band a few times now and have allways found them very , very pleasent.
thats what punks do anyway. pogo jump up and down and go a bit mad now and then. its a bit of fun and i am sure he was not going to kill anyone :D :D .

cheers
