Well all week we have been told a heat wave was comming an with a quick look at the weather mainly the wind mapping it was going to be a good day at sea regardless if we catch anything for a change.

Planned 6.30am to leave the marina with 2 mates today and head to a host of wrecks not far off but a canny trek from home base, once we reached the piers it felt like summer....jumper off, birds diving and mackerel being wound in by boats we passed...perfect :)

We hit our first wreck and within 2 jigs we had our first 2 cod onboard and a nice stamp around the 5-6lb mark.

We kept working our way out taken fish of just about every wreck we stopped at.

Spotted Slinky Kate on a wreck that we had planned to fish on our half way journy and with thumbs up from Norman we soon dug into fish taken about 7-8 from that wreck including the best two of the day just touching 12lb

We kept on moving and the furthest wreck from home....well this pic will say it all :)

Took about 40 fish from with most ling 6-8lb and cod 3-9lb...this then went dead and to be honest we dont often keep fish only 1-2 each but had a few orders today so kept about 2/3rds early on.

We started our move back home and every wreck we took a further 2-3 fish from....we really did have a bag of fish today and we never took pic's of the end result or took the fish out the full fish well as we may of been called a trawler today :)

Cracking day weather, fantastic day fishing and all round happy time.
