stuck reducer century tt sport

Ask John/r to turn you a nylon plug to slide down the inside of the butt,then follow up this plug with a heavy bar...go easy and it will come out without damage.
Same happened to me and this method worked.

Yeah only the once on route to the Faroes mate,lovely summer sailing until we got past Stornoway then bad seas most of the way to the Faroes.

Came back via the Caledonian canal west about,didn't fancy rounding the top end again.

Doing the TT in I.O.M 1st week in June,fancy crewing for me,spare berth available for you mate.

I,ve got a tt Sport and its a barsteward for sticking together at the spigot joint. Happened again recenty and i nearly ended up jumping up and down on the thing. But brute strength and twisting did the job.
I bought some sylicone spray from Halfords and used this and it was fine for a while untill it dried up.
I can see the use of a bar working-slide down inside of butt and tap out if safely held in a vice. The rod is hollow.
Mick. PS I would keep soaking it in wd40.

cheers mick ...read somewhere u could also use ptfe spray or pencil lead as well ...im gonna get the thing aprt with johns help first ...then regularly applying one of the three to keep in tip top shape ...waited yrs and yrs for my century not gonna neglect it now that iv got it
