posted on 26/2/2004 at 15:02After having a look at Middleton, Steetley and the rest yesterday realising there was no room to swing a lead never mind a cat. Me and my mate last night decided to have a go at this nice little gully we located which i"ll refer to as mark x. The sea was heaving but we found it easy to hold bottom seen as it was rocky ground flat rock etc.
Anyway this was my first time fishing this hole but my mate said he had fished it before and caught some small codling plus some coalies.
Anyway some hours later my mate walked off with fish off 8lb,6lb, 5lb 2x 3lbers and he put back 5 fish in the 1lb - 2lb bracket.
I on the other hand caught 5 rockling and a nice size coalie, while he was getting slack liners and reeling in fair size cod I was reeling in slimey rockling
!
Using the same bait, same rigs same distance cast
Can someone explain it to me?
