The forecast wasnt too rough so me n a lad from work (gaz) fished 8pm till 12.30 last night. I had an hour on howdiemont skeer with the wind in my face, a full moon on my rod tip and not a nibble so joined gaz on sugar sands.
Lost a big one on the retrieve, then pulled in a 3lb 10oz cod just after the tide turned. After that there was a lot of weed, old carrier bags n all sorts of crap but no more fish.
There was a couple of headtorches fished the south side of howdiemont from about 9 but don't know how they got on. Might have been easier with a bit wind on their backs.
Hard work but a nice fish made it worth while. Gaz had a six pack of lager so his night wasn't wasted. Kebab on the way home. Funny how you get more room in the queue at 1am when you stink of bait n fish.
