Suicide or mindless fishermen?

Had a ride down the coast earlier to get a bit of fresh air and in the hope that the sea cams were telling lies and there was a good sea running that they weren't showing!

When I was at Collywell bay I saw a sight that was somewhat disturbing, four Whiting had jumped approximately 30ft from the water and landed on dry land only to lie there and die, seems a coincidence that all of the Whiting had landed withing a couple of feet of each other!

I have attached pics of this suicide as I'm sure you wouldn't believe me otherwise!!!!!!

Surely it couldn't have been some mindless fisherman that caught the fish and then just left them there, could it? People with mentality like that wouldn't know which way a lift was going if you give them two guesses!

My club does catch and release........it could always apply to these tit-heads, they should be caught and released over he edge.

have seen the same thing done at Dunstanbough castle with mackrell just caught & left on the rocks, but they didnt go to waist cos i filleted them for winter bait but they could have been released. :)

It is something I have never been able to understand yet have seen it too many times.

Can't see how they could have been left by mistake Terry, if they had been in a bag I would have said yes. It's a canny walk up from the bay and to carry them up and then dump them is just stupid.

Could they have been left by mistake?

At first I thought they may have been left by mistake but they were on the other side of the fence, if you caught fish and intended to keep them you would keep them with your gear you wouldn't have them on the other side where you would have to climb over to retreave them. Like most people have said, the people that left them there are just mindless pratts that have fewer brain cells than the perfectly good fish they have wasted.

The ironic thing is they were nice plump little Whiting they would have made cracking fishcakes!

I fished a club match at Seaton Point last year and found a bag with discarded undersize fish in next to the car park! Fish must've been feelin the cold or something and huddled together before jumping onto dry land to try and stay warm, unfortunately suffocating themselves in the process.
It was after a Toon based club had held a comp up this way!

Oh and the nutter I mentioned the other week who was digging around the boats at Boulmer was,......You guessed it, digging around them again on Sunday morning. Voice like coquet Lighthouse can't be one hundred percent sure but think he had a Sunderland accent!

Obviously some people don't like Shi****g in their own nests!

reminds me of the time me an poacher 36 were fishing down the river at claxheugh me and him had about 50 odd whities between us non of them were keepers so they all went back while fishing we noticed 2 other lads fishing just along from us so when we had run out of bait we had walkalong to see what they had well we didnt need to ask them if they had caught owt as it was piled up behind them about 30 odd fish of which only one was pansize

After seeing a pi**ed up numpty catch a whiting on roker pier and then BITE its head off NOTHING suprises me as to how low these idiots will sink, just a pity its not to the bottom of the north sea! Just hope next time he does it that its a weever and the pain makes him shat himself!!!

While fishing on Roker earlier this year with a mate, I was gobsmacked to see a big group of lads float fishing down the side and deliberately catching the seabirds that were swimming there!!!!!
They were all laughing out loud as if it was the funniest thing ever, while people walked by.
Wish there had been a few more of us fishing that day as it would have been funnier watching the f**kers swim back to shore with their hands tied behind their backs and their floats stuck up their backsides!!!!!

Mindless TW*TS!!!!!!!!

Tony
