Summer Plans?

Hello All,

As usual at this time of the year the fishing is pretty poor and has been for a few weeks, however summer is just around the corner, (honest it is!), I've been wondering what plans some of you may have for the months ahead.

I know some of you are getting ready for the boat season and some of you turn your attentions to the stillwaters for your sport but has anyone got anything special planned?

As always it depends on having the time but I'll be fishing Northumberland and the borders for codling and pollack as usual but I realy fancy having a crack at the smoothhound and rays from the Lincs coast marks or trying for the tope from south west Scotland, (I hooked one once but lost it!).

I'm off to North wales next week with some friends and I just hoping that the weather improves a bit so we'll have a crack at the Huss and Rays.

Two summers ago I went to Jersey for a week, not enough time to get to know the place properly but I had a cracking time.

Hi Ian,
Glad you're getting out and about. I'm booked in at St Abbs from the 20th July, for 6 days. Might just get to wet a line, as long as it's light and there's a Y in the day. This year seems to have flown by what with winning the N v S trophy and all that.......teehee

S/W Scotland again, St Abbs probably...lots of local specimen hunting - Wrasse/Flatties etc

Trying my arm at SWFF - I don't care what I catch on it, a macky going scatty would do me...

Anything over 6lb from the boat as well

Going back to the Gower as well so will be targeting Pollack, Doggies etc on light gear

Mostly local boat work but also got a couple of trips over to Galloway planned.

Going down to Polzeath in Cornwall for 3 months. Should be great for polllack and wrasse on light gear also hope to be able to get a few bass.

well im going to dubai for 18 days on the 15th may
then ive got portpatrick end of june
then ireland for a weeks boat fishing
then the cleadon club starts up again

it will be late summer to november not sure yet


apart from that theres a freezer to fill with mackies so combat fishing and the sideways two step on sunderland pier when the days are nice

i must go see some carp i know soon too they must be missing me by now
