sunderland ramp (sand point ) beware

On returning from a good days fishing yesterday i returned to the ramp to pull the boat out of the water, to my dismay i found that the 4 tyres on my car and the 2 tyres on my trailer slashed, another guy parked next to me also had the same problem.
this is the second time that this has happend at this place , 1st time 2 years ago with a different car, the marina staff who issue the ramp passes did not want to know,the police issued a crime number and that was it,
to all anglers who use this ramp beware, carry 2 spare wheels for your trailer if you do not and it happens to you ,you wont get your boat out of the water,
sitting now waiting for insurance to call back to find out how much of a best part of £1k i can claim back.
ps reiver sportsman for sale i can't enjoy my fishing worrying about returning to that dave scott
 
Bad crack that like mate,that's the lowest of the low.....wonder if its local residents or another boat owner??? Either way the barstewards want effin shooting,****s trick that imho! :o:mad:
 
First report of trouble I have heard from there more than likely be some little scum bag kid with nowt better to do it might be worth asking some of the residents if they saw anything as its well overlooked
 
Sorry to hear about that Dave, that must be a nightmare coming back to that lot.
I know it will be a right slaver but you could leave your car and trailer in the main car park.
Everythings on camera there so no worries, dont let them force you off the water.

it really makes you wonder why someone would do that,

your walking passed the trailer and car....and you actually think about slashing the tyres ??

what kind of person does that ?

it would really be nice to knock on their door wouldn't it.....and explain to them how upset you are....;)

then give them the bill.......and make them pay it....

What time yesterday was when you noticed it.
I was done there getting bait but left at about 12.30 ish

hi mate i had just pulled the boat up the ramp earlier there when a women in a car wound down the window and asked if i have had any bother in the carpark ,puzzled :confused: i asked why ,she told me about tyres had been slashed and mentioned her husband or so had this done and cudnt get the boat out . after she left a police car came in the carpark and sat for a while ,why we sorted stuff out ,its shocking to hear this and i think there shud be some cctv camera there linked up to the marina as there is in the marina itself hope ya get the insurance sorted and the scum get caught :(
 
There is some barstewards about. I don,t know where the ramp is and who if anyone may have been annoyed. In my experience there is always a reason. It would seem very odd someone doing it for nowt. Its a bit like the acid over the bonnet trick and i,ve been to plenty of them and you can put money on it being a jealous ex or something similar.

hi about what time was that it may have been my missus if that was the case i would also have been there but i did'nt see anyone coming out of the water , maybe it had happened to someone else earlier in the day
 
kids holiday so easy to blame them but i think its the **** heads who get in the park next to low ledge insurance shud pay full whack as its a propper place to go to launch scum spoil everything for everyone

There was a few cars there when I left but only one old man in his car looking at the sea.
Cod seeker was on the beach and two other lads were just getting on the beach (about in there 20's) but that was it.
All the cars looked fine at that point.
So it must have happened after 12.30.
Sorry I can't help anymore.

Over in the south dock is there any CCTV coverage in the harbour masters tower might be worth a run over youngin and ask they might use it to keep a log of port traffic.

aint got an ex i work away overseas quite a lot only get out 3 to 4 times a year and don't cause anyone any bother plus why do the other car if they were targeting me, it happened on aug 6th 2 years ago with a different car just someone coming the c###t or a local who does not like boats useing the ramp first thing sunday morning
 
seen people looking out the flat windows a few times ,espeacially the first day i attempted reversing the boat down on the ramp which was rather a laurel n hardy act boat was all ower the place ,so if that amused them ,why dont they see things that really matters ,vandals etc ,sure the area is a nieghbourhood crime watch area also ,just some folk seem to turn a blind eye when it comes to fishing related ,also incidents happend a couple yr back in the housing estate next to the glass centre where tyres was slashed supposed to been residents i heard not liking the fisherman parking there whilst fishing the river :mad:
