With the year almost over I was looking forward to 2014 and thinking of what I would love the year to produce.

Here is my hopes for the new year, I would be interested to hear yours.

1. Have more charter boat friendly weather for our trips to the north east.

2. Catch a double figure Cod off a charter boat.

3. Catch at least 6 keepers every charter trip.

4. Out fish Lynn at least 1 trip out of 3.

5. Catch a Bass off the shore.

6. Never have a fishing blank.

7. Catch a 5lb Pollock off the shore.

8. Catch a Halibut off a boat.

9. Catch a Sea Trout off the shore.

10. Finally get to Norway.

:)

4. Few trips away, etive, mull, Arbroath for summer cod and a good few days in Arbroath next winter. Also plan a trip to Norway in 2015. Also explore Blyth to seahouses more.

5. Fish a lot more opens and matches than I have this year.

6. Improve my casting with lessons. Something I should of done a while ago.

Have to fit work in there somewhere too.

Happy new year and good luck people.

Just to get out a bit more for me, what with one thing and another I've hardly fished this year (and I've not been out since late September :( )

Think I've had it for this year but I'll be out on New Years day for hopefully the first of many sessions in 2014 (and I might, might even dust off the cobwebs and have a go on the field for the first time in three years...)

You'll do well to catch a fish in a field! :)
