Just back, got to go to work tomorrow. Have been shopping (can\'t believe it myself) but managed a pair of shoes at £6, a pair of espedrils for the beach at 70p and most importantly a 3 litre bottle of Ballantines 43% proof in a nodding dog type apparatus for £20. Watched hundreds of blokes fish in dozens of spots and never saw anyone catch anything but every supermarket had a special stand for a mixed fish counter, nothing bigger than the poodlers I used to catch off Cullercoats pier 30 years ago. Funny old world.
