Hi, going to Alcudia again in September and had some decent float fishing there right out front the hotel practically.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a cheap fair priced telescopic sea float rod?

Cheers.

Don't know about telescopic rods but a travel rod (4 - 6 piece) would be better made, i bought a 10ft Sonik SK3 about 6yrs ago for salmon fishing it breaks down into three sections just under 4ft but you can get others that will break down into smaller sections. Have a look on ebay or try garry evans he often has some good deals my SK3 was full price but got a Mitchel reel worth around the same price free, its well worth having a good look around on his website

Thanks for the replies. Any idea on what hook sizes for mullet and other not so big species along with which line strength as I will be float fishing with bread. I'm think of going with the use of a bubble float

U cannot beat the telescopics out of Boyes. Cheap and cheerful. I use rolled up bread from my mouth on a very small hook. I have seen other people use bacon rind (from the breakfast) and yellow corn u can buy from supermarket. Locals use a fish paste rolled into very small balls..Hook size is very small..say size 6-8. u can buy them with line attached from angling shops.
