TERRORIST AND INNOCENT VICTIM

I recently got hauled over the coals on here when I applied the word \"ignorant\" to those who generalise and use sterotypical descriptions towards an entire nation of people just because they are \"different\" from our culture.
Earlier today, Ian was in South Shields town centre.
There was a guy standing beside him who looked \"different\"....ie, not white. The guy was minding his own business and not doing anything to annoy anybody......just shopping. Another guy.....a white guy, casually strolled up to him, shouted \"F*CKING TERRORIST\", and smashed him in the face with his fist then, just as casually, walked off.
Ian and a couple of other witnesses went to the aid of the bloke who\'d been attacked.

Hmmmmm..... who was the terrorist and who was the innocent victim?

wrong yes uncalled for yes

but with tempers running high it had to happen and prob has elsewhere as well
ive heard it all week anti muslim sentiments ,send em back get rid of them blah blah ,pity folks dont realise that these blokes where english born and from the north east to boot

its a sad state of affairs that these fanatics are causing divisions within our communitys ,fear and unrest are also weapons of mass distruction if we cant stand together no matter what race colour or creed then they win
 
The person that thru the punch.....Well I won\'t swear but I would ask him if he had kids....young kids and one of them was taken seriously ill and had to go into hospital.....the thought and dread of anything happening to your kids is the most terrifying feeling in the world.....In walks the doctor, who will take care of your child....He or She just so happens to be Muslim...Are you so ignorant to think that he/she is a terrorist because of the colour of their skin or the religion they just so happen to follow. Or would you be relieved that this person is going to take care of your child...make them better and take away your anxieties? If you are happy for this person to take care of your child then why should you treat ANYONE of any other faith or colour in any other way than the way you wish to be treated yourself!
If you refused to be seen by this doctor and minutes made all the difference to your childs health and well being then your pig headed ignorance will not have helped your anyone.....Is that what you want. Think about it!
I said something similar to my father in law when my middle son was 2 weeks old and was rushed into hospital with what could possibly have been a life threatening illness. He spent a week in hospital on a drip with suspected septecaemia and I think...No hope.... my father in law learnt something from the experience.
 
I have just got back home from London where I have spent five days with friends and relatives. Some of my friends are muslims and some are african and Chen is of oriental origin. Best part of the time was taken up with discussions of what happened on Thursday. We were having a drink in Watford and during one of these discussions we were approached by some lads of Asian decent they joined the descussion without invitation, but we were willing to listen to what they had to say. They quite calmely informed our group that the British were responsible for the bombings as we had invaded Iraq and killed thousands of Iraqi,s and muslims and if we british had minded our own business and stayed out of thier country then we would not have been bombed, so it was our own fault. One of them then proceded to throw a pint over us and walk away ranting about the F*****g Britsh scum who kills muslems. I ask you TC, who are the ignorant ones?

Yes Davy, thats what we did. just sat and bit our tongues and said nothing. The good point was on sunday when a half million people turned out to remember ww11 and proved nothing will keep us down. among those half million were people of all races and religeons, standing together, united in peace, speaking out against the terrorists and the violence. It felt good to be there.

If you did that to a group of asians in a bar it would classed as Racial abuse/hatred and you would probably be arrested.It is also ok for a certain Cleric to preach racial hatred in public and commit Treason but if a group of white people did that they would be arrested for racial abuse etc etc,Why is it fine for one group to do it but not for a certain Political Party and its followers,maybe the police are worried about upsetting certain people lmfao :(
 
Just a comment on TC post,I think these attacks probably happen anyway but they are going to get highlighted alot more,it reminds me of the Paediatrician being accused of being a Paedophile
 
Some muslims do sometimes drink alcohol, although it\'s forbidden. Like has been stated before, not all white people are racist just as not all muslims are fanatics, some don\'t pray 5 times a day, some drink, some women don\'t wear the traditional dress etc.
Unfortunately there are ignorant people of all races and creeds and these young asians obviously fit this category just as the guy who hit the Asian guy in Shields.
 
Just to clerify Dave Masons Comment. My muislim friends do,nt drink alcohol. They drink friut juice or coke/pepsi and they try to fit in with our community.
 
I was out walking the dog today and I came across a bunch of 30 or so lads playing football. As I got closer I noticed the teams were made up from several different cultures and races. Black, white, brown,yellow, you name it! They were all enjoying the game and didn\'t even mind when the dog joined in. in view of recent events this was a very encouraging site, just wish I\'d had my camera to share it.
