The first trip of the season for me was as a guest angler/ deck hand on Lances Boat. No rush today with the tide so after the school run off we headed.
What a day early on anyway!
Lance struck first with his first fish of the season, a ling.
Just afterwards I landed the biggest of the day. A cracking scrap on the light rod.
We picked away all day and had a good total by the end before the sea lifted and it became snotty. Lance won the day though beating me by four fish. Well done that man!
A cracking day though and fish for tea, on the first trip of the season as well, it's always meant to be a blank!
Fingers crossed Black Betty will be launched next week. Graft gets in the way of everything.
