The Jester "D"....

Well as some of you may have noticed, i sold The Jester, the Explorer Elite yesterday...:)

The replacement has been been arranged for a couple of months..in one way or another.....So here's the story......:D

A couple of months back Rob (Easyfish1) mentioned to me that he might be selling his qs560, but i told him not to as he'd regret it  , but in the back of my mind i was thinking i wouldnt mind it, as it has been well looked after .

He was still unsure a month ago but between us we thought we would put a "Pincer Movement" in place..just in case ;) This involved me, Rob, Julie, Susan, 2 boats and a casual meal at a local pub..:D;)

The subject of Rob's boat was ever so tenderly dropped into the conversation, with my missus (Susan) saying i didnt need another boat, mine was fine.....Julie ( Rob's wife) on the other hand was a bit shocked that he was thinking about selling......

Well the conversation passed and we all went home, me thinking well we tried but no cigar.....10 mins after getting in the house, Susan says "How much does Rob want for his boat like"..YES.....YES...:D...HOOK, LINE AND SINKER...:D:D:D The seed was sown....

Well i dont know, he might not even sell it i said....;) Well if you can sell yours for ££££ you can get it, she said...:)

Anyway me and Rob never mentioned it for a few weeks, then while i was out on the boat, i got a text saying "I've decided i'm selling the boat"....text back..."We need to do a deal" and to cut to the chase, within an hour and many texts, we had a deal...:) Susan came in from work and i said "I've had a text from Rob"...Susan said "When are you getting his boat"....she knows me too well....:D:D

Well...many thanks to Rob :), his QS560 now has a new owner, he held on till i sold mine, which took longer than i thought, i had to sign a declaration to esure it is kept in tip top condition as he's very attached to his boat....Which is the reason i wanted it....:) In fact i've had the keys for 2 weeks, not many people would do that...

Here's a few pics....

The "D" has been added to The Jester on Rob's reqest that part of the name he had on the boat remained....not a problem mate...;)

Rob even has his place on the boat assured...:)

A couple more...:)

Once again massive thanks to Rob, who had been a true mate, the keys are there if you want to take it out anytime....:);)

Great read Chris, good to keep the boat "in the family" so to speak .....
no doubt Rob will be key in keeping it in trim condition :) .......

just one question, what have you done with the tomato plants ? :) :)

great stuff lads ...

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, it's nice, and soooooooo shiny and clean.:D Spot on Chris, that is a cracking looking boat. You landed on ya feet there mate.
Condolences to Rob at this difficult loss he has to bear.:D
Just waiting now for the 1st report from Jester "d". Good luck with the new venture.

Thanks for the replies lads :)

Aye Rob, Deano is banned from the area behind the door..:D and no Pollock allowed for the remainder of this season...:D;)

Nice one Chris, it’s reassuring to know that any boat you buy has been well looked after. Tomorrow’s forecast is looking good for a trial run and judging by the baseball bat in the cabin, you’re expecting to battle some monster fish soon. :)

Kevin, you are the first to mention the baseball bat...:D:D It's there for dispatching monster Pollock......well thats what i've been told...:D;) There's a few notches on it as well, but i darent ask what they signify...:o:D

I always say...If you look after your boat, it will look after you....:) You see so many boats sitting in marinas, that never get touched, just rotting away...shame really...:(
