id rather put something in a crack,than a locker.lol.

Since I subscribed to it, I was inundated with loads of inane posting alerts and trivialities, as well as loose profanity. I was also found by many old acquaintances who wanted to strike up a new friendship and drag me into their gardening activities, decorating ideas etc. Hate it.........
Since I hate FB with a vengeance and having my dislike confirmed by the loads of rubbish posted there I even stopped looking on NESA for a while.
Problem is that a lot of people don't have time to work with two forums then actually get out and fish as well.

dont think it just the locker,everybody and his dog is running fishing sites now.
im guessing face book appeals to the younger generation too.
and for some theres the added attraction that you can more or less say what you want.
im not sure how long nesa has been going,but doubt if any f-book site will last as long

The Web's a big place, plenty room for fishing forums and Facebook groups. More catch reports and bargain gear for sale, suits me. As far as Facebook is concerned I use it solely for fishing, I have most stuff blocked on there.

As Duncan says you can say what you like on the locker and consequently it is full of crap! 80% of it is just nonsense posts. I have taken it off my FB page as it just annoyed the hell out of me.
It is quiet on NESA just now, but usually is at this time of year. I have flirted with WSF, Shore Angler, Whitby Sea Anglers and SAR, but Nesa is the best by far. I use this site daily and SAR maybe weekly, don't bother with the rest now. I love this site and it will be here long after the facebook fad is a distant memory!
Elton should be congratulated for providing such a great site and the members are the most helpful of any of the rival sites by far. Long may it continue!

I am on both sites and both have there own advantages
Nesa great for catch reports and for getting advice on marks and gear but to serious on here people getting banned
The locker for getting baits cheaper and more stuff for sale and there's more people on it just to wind people up and the the p...s
Since I started Nesa seems to have lost good members

I think it is great that NESA is a serious site and members get banned Mick. It is a fishing site, not a school playground. As you say the locker has its plus points............. if you like anarchy!

Absolutely Mick. I am good mate, Lynn is waiting to go into hospital on 17th December for a wee operation, hopefully she will come out fixed this time! So I am chief cook and bottle washer for Xmas dinner with the delightful pleasure of looking after her 84 year old Mother into the bargain. God I hate Xmas!!

ToTally agree tony plus rules seem to change on Nesa my mate Davey 1970 banned and rightley so but other people banned and let back under a new name and admin know this but allow it even though he was my mate too but can't change the rules to suit
