I know its early but the clocks have just gone forward the light nights are begining to show I just got thinking of the first mackerel. This has probably been asnwered before but have we a record holder for the earliest macky caught on NESA and any Idea of the first last year.

Shore 27th of May and boat 24th of April (from my records)

Last year was the 4th of June my 1st from the shore and 7th of June from the boat

Yer Sless i think Les had them on the 22nd if i remember right. Never seen him all of last year, hope to catch up with him this year

A mate of mine got half of one on 21st , he caught the other bit on the 23rd so that's a draw with Les if you mathematic it to bits a bit.
