The Mighty NUFC

Big problem for the MNUFC now though, if chelsea win the comp then we need 3rd to qualify. Come on the Gerries, just for this once like.:D

Im pretty sure when Liverpool won it in 2005 the top four still went through . Liverpool were left to qualify against 2 easy teams. If I remember rightly everton claimed fourth that yr and got trounced by valencia. So it cant be 1 rule for lfc and another for the chelski rent boys ;). Hope nufc get fourth now its outa lfcs hands

The Toon.

The Toon.

Looks like they should finish 3rd at the end of the season, a bit disappointing but at least they'll be back amongst the footballing elite where they belong.:D

You have hit the nail on the head G.ordon m8t they sure can finish in 3rd place and yes they deserve where they are so well done to the lads.Ha-weh the lads.:D:D:D

i'm not sure but I think there was a load of controversy about qualification that year and liverpool were given a kind of wild card

Keep talkin

Keep talkin

Keep talkin ... all noted for the future and I will get back to you on that, mind you I have to admit you've done well. So much for all the whingers who called your manager and chairman at my work, all mags.
Got 3 hard games though.

I was one that called the chairman, never called the manager as always said give him a chance but never expected anymore than top half finish at best.

NUFC V SUFC will go on and on and on, both teams have good spots and both ahve bad spots and season's..this year its Newcastle next year it maybe Sunderland but i guess Sunderland had the better of the last 3 years so its nice for it to be Newcastle agan and one more year in Europe is great.

Love to play in the CL but i feel we would struggle in it from the off if we even make it at all....but as i said to the lads at work from SFC its better to be in it and get hammered than never been in it.

the lads are where they are through merit, and they deserve it, never called the manager, he was brought in to do a job, and he`s done a cracking job on a sensible wallet. lets see what happens now, don`t want any `superstar` signing`s, but the squad needs more sensible additions. and yes, a did slag ashley off, and still do, he still has`nt shown his tru intentions, europe only add`s to his investment. ! . am happy for now.

I confess I don't go to the games now but was until a few years back a season ticket holder and travelled. The best years were keegans years when he had a squad that had no fear of any other team anywhere. I sense the same with this squad, the front line and midfield are sensational and they couldn't give a sh*t who's in front of them. Come on europe is all I can say, for now anyways:D

Mike Ashley is the BEST thing that has happened to Newcastle, the club was in a bad way both on and off the field and he and his team ( the infamous cockney mafia ) have sorted the place out ........... remember there was a time when NOBODY wanted to buy the club, Ashley has now put the club on sound foundations and no matter what the romantics may say it is now in a much healthier club than in the days of Gullit, Sir Bobby or Keegan. For once in your lives give credit where it is due and enjoy the success you are currently having while accepting that Mike Ashley's remedial actions were right and you (the majority of supporters ) were wrong in your protestations against them. Big well done this year and best wishes for your European adventure.

yes hopefully the toon will get to the CL next season but got 3 very tricky games to go and a lot can happen in 3 games points wise!:)
would love sunderland to get into the top 6 aswell but i think thats beyond them for now and i fear for them because the problem with o'neil is he gets a team as far as he can then he asks for more money if not he walks simple as that hes done it with his other clubs in the past:(
l would love the boro back up to the premier aswell but you would still get the empty seats against the likes of man u/and the derbys:confused::confused:
getting back to the toon i will come clean and say i thought we would have struggled this season scrapping no higher than tenth but ive been plesantly proved wrong:)
i am and always will be black and white through and through but always like to see 'ALL' our north east teams do well:)
bit of trivia for you here! which n/east team played in a s/land home shirt in the 50s at an away game against bolton:confused::confused::confused: answers on a postcard please:D give you a clue it werent s/land:D
