no, they are just charitable, and really want us to do well, especially one of the clubs in the bottom 3
theres a big gulf between the top 4 or 5 teams and the rest of the league.Newcastle are just lucky the teams below are having the same problems as them,theres always a big team gets sucked into the relagation battle,Derby's plight makes life a little easier as there is realistically only two more teams to join them as they have probably resigned the fact that they'll go down

We were shocking! For a Toon fan it doesn't get much worse. Altho at least it was away to the champions without a manager, and not say.. 7-1 away to everton?? Now that would be a sickener
Toon to finish 10th. We would be in real trouble if it weren't for the terrible teams below us. We havn't won in four and still havn't gone down the league!

rooney had 4 what were good oppotunities in the first 15 mins and would normally have put them away. they have 2 teams in the next 3 games who are scrapping for thier lives.(bolton and boro). oh and in between the small matter of arsenal by the end of jan they could quite easily find themselves right in the thick of a relegation battle.

When we played man utd down there they only beat 1-0 not 6-0 mate.

not making excuses - they're professionals who should step up to the plate regardless...but it was a bad week, compounded by a shocking result...Owens stock must be well down...he won't be going anywhere now

Aye good to see the ones making most of the noise are local Man Utd fans ,what with Jimmy coming from Gateshead upon Salford ,and that well known Manchester Utd Hot bed of supporters where Red5 hails from- Boulmer , i have probably been to old trafford more times than the pair of you! !!
