any one got any reports on the sea hunter as i\'m going on it next month and got no background on it please help :exclam:

One of the prizes in the boat comp earlier this month was a fishing trip for 4 on one of the Amble charter boats, \"Solitaire\".
Unfortunately, the owner / skipper of the boat is now relocating to Wales and can\'t take the prize winner and his mates out.

However........he has arranged an alternative boat for them \"Sea Hunter\" (still out of Amble).

The lads who were due to go out on \"Solitaire\" were wondering if anybody on the site has any info about \"Sea Hunter\"t or have been out on it.

YES.......biggandy is one of the lads
Can anyboy help? :P

\".......sounds dodgy....\"

Nah not really, Andy.......more likely that none of the lads who have read your post have been out on it.

I\'m still trying to find out some info for you.

cheers tc just had email off alan c and he\'s never heard of it .......................oh no what have we let our selves in for :casstet:

Hahahaha.......Andy, you\'ll pobably have a great day, m8 and end up recommending the boat.
;)

Not been on it lads sorry ,I\'ve asked around and none of my mates have either ,however the same could be said of the Diablo out of the Tyne that I was on for the NESA comp, great skipper ,tried his heart out, eager to please and help, extra gear on board and the boat picked up the heaviest fish ,not to me mind ,I got a bottle of Bushmills for my fish ...so give it a go ,you\'ll probably be impressed I know I was with the Diablo

Very true, Steve.
I hadn\'t heard of Diablo OR Abyss until just before the boat comp - both turned out to be excellent boats with helpful skippers.........just what you want, really.
Got no reason to imagine that Sea Hunter won\'t turn out to be the same.

managed to speak via email to the sea hunters skippers pal who has reasured me it is a cracking boat and a cracking day out so now i\'m looking forward to it thanks for everyones replies :D :D

Can\'t disagree about Diablo,as I was on it with Steve, and my floatation suit still is.I\'ll have to get my passport out again and pick it up one day, maybe on that midweek trip if I can get on it.

diablo is well worth a try IMHO, he\'s got a few wrecks/marks I\'ve never heard of, works like stink to get you over em and into the fishy\'s!

just had word one of my pals went oput on the sea hunter yesterday and he say he had a cracking day skipper was so helpfull, getting snags out, helping take fish off hooks, would\'nt stop putting kettle on.
all in all about 40 fish caught aboard
30 codling range from 1.5lb to 2.5lb
1 wrasse, a couple of maccy, 6/7 flatties
did not go on the wrecks just stayed on the hard ground so lets hope he\'s left the big fish for me on 24th july :D :) :D :)
