Well Gregg and myself braved the damp conditions and fished the river tonight. We started off at High Shore but as is often the case with said mark it was very very quiet...
Gave it an hour and then decided to move onto the Fish Quay beach where I boldly "guaranteed" us fish :red:
An hour and a half or so in and we'd had a few knocks, baits stripped etc...I rang the missus and said I'd be home soon having caught nowt...
Tap, tap, tap...
29cm Plaice caught on Rag tipped off with mackerel
As ever catching a fish gets the blood going so we both decided to stay on a bit longer...Gregg at this point had had loads of knocks/bites and had even hooked into a few fish only to lose them

I get another couple of taps...
25cm Flounder - both fish duly lobbed back to grow bigger
Gregg was left to rue the day on this occasion but his time will come I'm sure.
Quiet little session - but still nice to pull in a couple at the end and as ever good craic
Roll on the Winter Cod
Cheers
