From the weekend 1/7/06 for the week, We are repairing the sluice gates, Mill race, and Sea trout ladder on the wier at the East Mill, Morpeth, so the wier will begin draining at 5am ,then filled on an evening again. It takes 3 hoers for the level to drop far enough to work on them, so by 8 am, the river will be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down throught the town. should take 5 days or so.
It will be filled agin each night, another 3 hours for that from shutting the gates.
Should be interesting.
