can any one out there tell me where the wherry is in relation to the gun pits or mud hole at whitburn, and what is it, a low water skeer mark or high water cliff mark, is the ground rough off there and is it easy to spot coz it took me ages to find the mudhole, well i think i have found the mudhole lol.

cheers lads any help would be appreciated:red:

cheers codseeker i know where you mean from them excellent pictures as i walk the dog there quite a lot. Is that whole place called the wherry and i guess you can fish from the cliff tops and off those ledges. bet the bottom is rough though is it.

cheers once again

yep you can fish from the cliff tops or the shelves that stick out,and yep it is mostly a tackle graveyard mate

thanks a lot lads excellent pictures and great map jimmy. gonna try it towards the end of the week i think or maybe the weekend, cheers:red::red:

if ya try to get on the white rocks at low water,be very careful as the tide comes in,its so easy to get cut off there mate

Those are excellent pictures:), would love to fish round whitburn, Marsden way but normally just fish piers etc.

The wherry is a high water shot mainly. Not too much water in there at low tide. It's better on a big sea also. You will have to hope for the best pulling a fish up there or try and beach it but be very careful whe walking round the cliff edges mate.

BTW you'll know if you've found the mudhole as there'll be a little wall behind you (remains of an old building)
