Thinking about a change of rod

Got an SS and a response and wouldn't say the SS is that much stiffer than the response, the SS weighs a bit more and has a thicker diameter. The response is a lovely rod though and is fairly light and could hold all day

not sure how the SS is giving you back ache had mine a few days and basically been pracitce casting all the time with it and touch wood, no back ache.

Not sure what technique you use to cast with but if you are wanting to put a lead a fair distance with a simple cast then try one of the 16ft rods, seen Chris stringer using a sonik 16ft rod at the fish quay a while back and he was getting a canny distance with a simple thump.

Wouldn't Recommend it for the rough ground but you have an SS which should deal with all that.

However if you're using a pendulum cast best not to get a 16ft rod :D
