I know this happened at East Tarbet so it is not strictly NE business but a lot of us do fish the area. It happened over Easter weekend and nobody knows who was reponsible for it. I would appreciate it if everyone could do a bit of asking around on this one in case it was folk from this neck of the woods. Would love to see naming and shaming happen. After this incident I should imagine the farmer might well close down the bay to all anglers now !!!

It was first reported on the WSF Scottish forum by Manxman. This lot was just left by the group of anglers that had been camping there !!!!

Here are a few from my "hall of shame" from last year. As a matter of course I always take a few extra carrier bags with me when out fishing. Have collected anglers rubbish from all over the MOG area,Whithorn,Monreith,Terrally,Logan, both north and south ends of the Mull :bones:

This lot came from the Wall mark last April. Cans, bottles, someones shreddies, bait wrappers, discarded line,a dead seagull which had died swallowing a discarded baited rig I presume. Now its a hard enough climb back up without having to carry other anglers litter !!!!

Last June I went for a walk along Terrally beach with the wife and finished up doing my wombling thing again

It was all anglers discards, especially the dead doggies. What is the answer

That's shocking and I'm afraid there's no answer as these scum will never care. I'm guessing those areas are too remote to police regularly, I bet if they had the time & resource they could get a DNA match from that lot.

Well done for taking the time to clear up other people's crap John.

beyond depressing :( im afraid there is no hope for scum like that with no respect for anybody or anything living !!!!

Absolutely disgusting, the scum that left that mess should be banned from ever being allowed to fish again, it doesn't get much worse than that as far as littering goes. It amazes me why the scum do things like this, lazy, thick as mince with no conscience what so ever. It just seems to be getting worse each year, with some people not giving a damn about, other people or the wildlife and environment.

One or two members have complained in the recent past about NESA members making threads about scum like this leaving rubbish as they are bored with hearing about it. Don't dare complain about this one, if you are sick of hearing about littering then get stuffed and go to another forum. Please let me know first of all so I can make sure you don't change your mind, and watch the door does'nt hit you in the @rse on the way out.

Jim.

Anglers o sorry lazy ****s!! who leave there rubbish is always going to be a problem, I do the same as you I always take an extra bag and find myself picking up other peoples waste. The strange thing about them picts is the fact they've left the tents, I know tents are alot cheaper these days but theres stil a few quids worth there. The idiots must of had more money then sense, as well as social skills to tidy there mess. Scene's like them left off mindless lazy a$$holes is wats going to spoil areas for others in the future. Please take all your rubbish home lads and lasses.

disgusting, i hate that sort of thing, i am very proud of our coastline and anybody elses for that matter. i rave about how our NE coast is one of the best to folk who are not even anglers. i would feel embarrassed and ashamed if anyone saw that.
what i find strange is why would you leave what look like 2 fairly good tents??, maybe because they are scum.

Total ****heads, makes you wonder what sort ****hole they live in, w***ers each and everyone of them!!!!!, no wonder the public think all fishermen are dirty lazy *******s.

I go and fish a few times a year at loch ective, last year i had my motorhome at taynuilt next to the jetty, some w****ers from the north east had towed there boats their for the weekend, and set up camp, burnt huge fires and got ****ed, the **** and mess was unbelievable they left behind.

It does make you sick when you see threads like this. It reminds us that the angling fraternity is still plagued with MORONS who leave sickening sights like this where ever they go. As Jim's signature says " some people are still alive only because it is illegal to shoot them". Well it should be open season on these MORONS.
I dont get out much now due to health problems, but I hope there are some sites left to fish by the time I recover and they all have'nt been closed down due to this sort of problem.

I try to follow this rule "leave the campsite like you've never been there". When I goto craster I always pick up litter from other anglers :( which shouldnt be the case but unfortunatly is. I went to tynemouth beach awhile ago (the one next to the fish key which we all know is very polluted) and ran down the beach after a carrier bag :D Was a sight like

should be hung up by the preverbials for that mess, not to mention the wildlife its an absolute disgrace and a bad reflection of our sport once again by a small minority of mindless indivinduals u will know who you are !! a,holes.

every one of those pictures is totally shocking but the two that stand out the most are the dead gull with cat gut sticking in its mouth and the two dead dog fish this is what makes me ashamed to be an angler at times someone must know who left the site like this and i hope they are caught quick and the book thrown at them and well done snatcher for both picking up peoples rubbish and highlighting this well done mate

john , i think you took them underpants out of mt tent after we had the session on the bods, joking aside it makes me sick, just carry a plastic bag its that easy,

sadly, that doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Increasingly, I think those of us that actually care are in the minority

if you witnessed it an challenged them, you'd be laughed at, threatened possibly and ultimately ignored. Its all a big laugh to them and by their own standards they probably rate that as a great trip and laugh about it as they get ****ed in the next pub they go to. More evidence that this country has spent the last 20 years breeding a generation of swine

I've started to move towards liking the possibility that where anyone is caught consuming alcohol in a public place they should have it immediately confiscated and be given an on the spot fine would be a good thing. It seems to be the common factor more and more in situations like this.

Used to love going to ardnamurchan for the peace and isolation but the same disease is occurring their now so saddened that we're probably not going at all this year, if ever again

Can't really think of anything to add that hasn't been said already - total and complete scrotes the lot of them:mad::mad::mad: Just amazed at how much has been left behind - tents & all!!

Gary :)

that is absolutley disgusting, they want stringing up by the you know whats, that farmer has put up with a load of grief for years, don't know how he lets anglers on there now, this could be the end. Remeber he told me once that boat anglers would drive off without paying the £2.50 launching fee, he kept the launch open so boat anglers could use it. Hope we find out who they are, I will name and shame them, not just here but in my columns, with some photos.

Shocking, the farmer has every right to ban camping there from now on. Ive camped on that field for years and the farmer is sound, couple of quid a night, he even aranged for a mechanic to come down to sort out a problem with the motor. Over the last few years the amount of ****e down there, and on the rocks up to the mull left by anglers has become shocking.
These clowns will have probably spoilt it for everyone, boils my ****, stunning area but it is turning into a dump. Sad to say it but over the last few years there has been an increase in large groups of idiots who seem to come from north east england, camping and partying down there, last year a group of about ten turned up in a mini bus towing a trailer full of timber just for firewood, only to spend the weekend snap casting into the bay, and falling about mortal!
Used to enjoy going up there for the peace and scenery, but may consider traveling further afield this year.
Sad times:mad:
