everywhere is a bit quiet at the moment if afraid :(

there should be some movement towards the weekend with the forecast and bigger tides.

i think your best chance of something size is in the tyne, fishing the flood over high.

I haven't made my mind up where I'm going tomorrow
But just can't wait to get out if I catch out its a bonus
Like the craic with the 2 lads I fish with

Depends what you're after, best bet for a cod is probably up the mid reaches of the tyne in the jarrow / hebburn area however its not fishing great at present mainly undersized codlings (around 8").
Roker pier has fished well for whitings the last couple of hours of the flood on some tides but been dire on some tides too, the tide sizes are starting to pick up so this will help, if you're fishing during daylight most likely get just dabs and flounders, after dark the whitings, best areas bunker or round head.
My choice however would be up the river wear around claxheugh, fished it 3 times this week and plenty good quality flounders comming out on blacks / macky canny sport on the light gear when not a lot happening elsewhere. Its only fishing well last couple of hours of the flood, either end of the prom (the bushes or at the other end beside the steps) is fishing the best.
Hope this helps.

One of the only places with fish at the moment is the Walkway ... as long as you don't mind scratching for undersized tommy codling, there are quite a few there if you use small hooks !

The tides a bit big for the walkway the next few days, the last big tides weren't too bad due the fresh water coming down the tyne and counteracting the strength of the flood tide a tad, however with not as much flood water in the tyne now the tide pull will be too much for a lot of the time, only be fishable for an hour and a half around high water unless you use braid or light line and fish short.

I fished the white wall on Sunday and had lots of codling .
I must admit they weren't very big but still good fun.
All fish were taken on lug tried bluey but not a touch.
That's just up from the town bridge in Sunderland .

Just going to pick my m8 up get some bait and then
Decided from there haven't a clue yet il let you all know
Tomorrow where I ended up
Cheers for all the help lad appreciate it
