tidal surge?

sorry if this is a dumb question like lads but how is that big tidal surge going to effect the fishing this weekend?:question:

id think a lot of crap would of been washed back into the sea , sunday would be the better day to fish in that case .

aye, I was thinking sunday would be the better day but I can only get out on the Saturday so....but will it effect the fishing at all or have no effect? cheers for the replys anyway lads.

there should be a lot more tidal pull with that amount of water movement. on a lot of marks, holding bottom will be the biggest problem.

theres also a huge sea on that will put a lot of marks out.

Was thinking of fishing the ebb at Lynemouth tonight or Cambois later. Had a look at low tide today. Sea is very big. would have gone but would be fishing alone so giving it a miss and having a beer or two!
There will be fish at these places tonight without a doubt!! Just be careful!!!

Just had a run down to cresswell and newbiggin. Wave height is about 3m certainly at Cresswell they're breakingalong way out and rolling in. the tidal pull looks to be huge at both places so doubt you'd be able to hold bottom.
Try again tomorrow or sunday?

I swung through Seaham this afternoon on my way back to the office from a job, was about half tide up and the swells were pretty big at that point, loads of white water coming over the north pier nad the south pier was just about under water as the swells rolled along it. That said it's not a "rough" sea as such, more big ground swells.

Good luck to anyone venturing out but be careful, this sort of sea will have plenty of bigger "rogue" waves thrown in which can easlily get you in trouble if they hit the beach unexpected in the dark...

There might be fish swimming about on lynemouth but no ones going to catch them in that!
