I had one of them mate, was it where you twisted it on and off at the bottom? mine didn't seem to last 5 minutes, maybe it was a bad batch, but I just use them snap lights now, they do the job. bout 30 years ago I remember my fatha had one, it was "tiny" but as bright as hell and it had wires coming down the rod, which he had taped to the rod, and it went from the light to a connecter where you plugged in one of them square batteries(touch your tounge and get a shock)taped to the rod aswell, dont know if it was something he just knocked up but it was good.things moved on since then I suppose.

This ^^^^. I've always used a wired one until recently when I found it wasn't working. I didn't have time to fix it so had to buy a glow-worm (or something like that). It's pretty neat but at £4 for "up to" 15 hours, it's not a long term solution. Those delta ones look bright and are probably very good value but they just look too chunky.

theirs 2 types cjt type are crap they just work a couple of times but the delta tip light I've had for a long time and its fine no probs

Not keen on bright tip lights myself like,ya stair at it to long then when you look away n can still see it! prefer it when it's had a good few hours run to be honest. A seen an advert in the sea angler years ago about a tip light that flashed only when ya had a bite n supposedly didn't flash with movement from the surf couldn't see this myself like but any ways never herd of or seen 1 used before so they couldn't have been that good.

i use some clip on jobbie light with bells from china .... got 5 for 2 quid... canny bright lasted me more than a yr using the same tip light . bells are handy when u r not staring at tip light. ..only downside .. u need to remove it to cast it nd clip it back on after ... :p

Got one of the tip lights your on about Mitch, its the H2O Bite Alert, flashes green, then red when you have a bite, was a bit on the wary side wene I first
used it, but in all honesty it works a treat, everytime its flashed red I have had a fish on.

Just get a couple of those lights the kids have on their bike wheels only light up when they move, have used these for years just tie them to the tip with bait elastic, 2 in a pack from the pound shops.

Haha well now a have heard of 1 being used,ya think there any good mate n whereabouts did ya get it from ?might give it a shot

Sent off for mine from FishTec think they were about £10 for two and you got one free, I think they are spot on mate, especialy if your like me and like
to go walkabout, you can still see it flashing from a canny distance.
