What's the legality of buying myself a Virgin TiVo box off eBay and then upgrading my service as normal therefore not having to pay the £50 that Virgin wants to charge?

Do I have to get the box from Virgin?

Pretty sure it will have a card which is paired to the box, they may still offer some sort of discount.

Aye that's a point Virgin actually own the boxes so anything sold on fleabay is dodgy.

I got all mine done for nout theres a gay fella who works for them who is a quality bloke, got all the sports channels the lot free for 2month aswell il try and find his number and message you if i can find it mate

Yep, You've rang sky and their package seems better value for money, all the stuff you want to watch is screened while you are at work, new customers are getting better deals, etc etc

We said we where going to sky and we got a TiVo box and the other box put in the bedroom for nowt wor lass can be persuasive like , haha
