Been to frasers today and picked up my tickets, however they did not have any info on times ( except it starts at 9am ), anyone know the rest of the details, ie finish times, size limits , rules ???....seemed rather silly selling the tickets but not having the important details available...not that i will probally catch anything !!!...all fuelled up and ready to go

So i presume its heaviest bag..heaviest fish etc ???, is there a ladies prize, junior prize etc, also i personally think the boat size thing is stupid, however if the sizes were above approx 28 / 30 foot then thats ok because most boats in that size will be charter boats, how many people do you know have boats bigger than that will be private entrys ??? not bloody many, i can only think of 2 in royal quays, so probally 98% of private boats will be less than 25 / 26 foot.
Will the organisers be checking the length of boats at wiegh in times and disqualifying anybody that may have made a mistake in the length of thier boat, i bet there are quite a few small boats like mine are just over 20 foot with the bathing platform on the back.
This seems to me that most of the boat owners on here will be in the same class as the charter boats.

Heaviest fish only Bob.

You don't even have to turn up in a boat, last years winners drove from Sunderland.

Also, the fish times are very informal, "how do I police boats from amble etc." has been mentioned.

ooohh.... I'll have to think about that one. we might be there on a submarine tomorrow - Ell's sleeping on board tied up in the river :o

What happened? Did I miss it? Not that hard considering I spent 90% of the time out today with my eyes shut grinding my teeth - only woke up to hurl lumps of iron overboard every now and again. :red:

The Bascule - sheesh what a weird bunch of patrons, me and my mate Joe included.
