tonights comp

My first comp (not including the mini NESA one) and I throughly enjoyed it. Only had 1 whiting (1lb) on my 1st cast, but did get 5th prize in the raffle and the craic was good (as usual!) fishing with Jim.

Quite pleased with mesell, 250 fished, 123 weighed in. Would have thought, judging by the conditions, that everybody would have come away with codling. Just shows the dire straits that cod are in at the minute.

Oh, and a big well done to Tim. Nice to meet you mate.

Fished Cambois beach behind North Blyth houses with my mate, conditions were perfect, loads fishing, caught nowt ! Same for most of the other lads according to the crack, headed back to Blyth beach for the last hour, still got nothing so we just stayed there until 23.30pm,wish we went straight to Blyth now,one of those things !
Jim there was to many down on the beach to spot you,we squeezed in between the pipes.

250 fished did that include the lads that bought tickets but didnt fish ?

still £2500 from ticket sales isnt a bad figure for a short notice comp

plus the raffle and donations ,should come out at a canny total

well done Tim ;)

Well Done Tim & Alan! I didn\'t make the comp but got to the weigh in with Bert, Kenny & Stephen, great turnout, nice to see a few of the NESA & NEA lads!

Keith, whereabouts were you at the weigh in? Me and Jim had a scout around and only saw Ell. We were sitting directly behind the 2 lasses who were selling the raffle tickets. Did you see me getting up to collect the 5th prize in the raffle? Had the choice of a tin of Homer Simpson biscuits or a giant inflatable football seat - the hardest decision I\'ve had to make in a long time :D ;)

My first comp. Blanked on Blyth/ Seaton Sluice beach. Car park where toilets are. Not sure whether that counts as Blyth or Seaton. Nobody fishing near me had anything. Met 1 bloke with a 2lb codling on way back to car park and another who had 1 whiting. Obviously not the place to be. Look forward to seeing results. Will they go on this site?

I fished cambois beach. I don\'t think anyone did any good along it. I think the qualityy and amount of prizes were great. If there were prizes like that in more comps i would definatly fish more.

Not suprised ya heads sore Keith ,you were a bit pickled when I saw you at the bar lol, was a good night even though I blanked AGAIN ,all for a great cause though ,hey Rob you must have been sitting next to Keith he was at the side of the stage ,I had a look around but only recognised Keith coz we\'ve fished on the boat together before ,thought I spotted Ell but wasn\'t too sure.
