Some seem to think a position or two above the 'other' team means
something.
Personally,i think it means nowt.All both sets of fans need to worry
about,is staying up,and the fact that Newcastle have just been given
a right leathering,doesn't mean much in the greater scheme of things.
I still think Wigan have got a bit too much to do,especially after todays
result,and even a win for Sunderland on Monday,wont guarantee
safety.
Hope both teams survive,as the derby games tend to be the highlight
of the season for both clubs.
They may both have loftier aspirations,it's just unlikely they will be
realised.

I think who finishes above the other is the main focus of both sets of fans. Neither team is going to win the premiership, so a cup is our only real chance of success but with both teams not putting out competetive sides in the cups what chance do we have?
The only thing left then is the derby matches and finishing higher than the other.
The Mackems have won the head to heads and it's beginning to look like they'll finish ahead. Disastrous season for Newcastle.

Man u top team, anyone out the top 6 are just playing to stay in the prem really and extra cash.

I love to be a Wigan fan, good season= play rubbish all year, get to the last 5-6 games and play footie and stay in the prem...happy fans This year they sneaked a cup final and good on them.

There are,and always will be nutters in both Newcastle and Sunderland.
There are,and always will be nutters on here,posting vitriol about one
another,or respective areas.
All this tribal rubbish,is just that,rubbish.
If Newcastle get stuffed,take the p*ss and have a bit laugh.
If Sunderland get stuffed.........ditto.
The way the world is,you'd think folk with a smidgen of intelligence,
would have more important things to shout about.
I often wonder if all the fury/anger displayed on forums such as this,
could be harnessed,and directed in a positive manner,how much good
could be done,wherever good is most needed.
