The fishing clubs on the Blyth spend a fortune every year introducing stocked fish into the sysytem because with the combined forces of agriculture, bad land and river management and commercial fishermen there are no wild fish left in the river at any takeable size.
We live on an island surrounded by what used to be some of the best fishing grounds in the world, but we have to share them with "others" (you can make up your own mind on who I'm on about)
I'm not here to rant on because most anglers already know whats happening.
But when all is said and done and think that in 5 years time fishing in any place - coastal or fresh water is going to be one hell of a challenge unless the government step in and start sorting it out properly.
