heard a rumour that fish from the river will only take peeler from the river and fish from the sea will only take peeler from the sea as the difference in salt water makes a difference. cant see any truth in this myself but thought id put it out to the pro's. I might be wrong.

i bet most crabs are collected from river traps and used in the sea

Some anglers also say that west coast crab doesn,t fish here as well as local crab.Bollocks!!
Most of the crab in the local tackle shops in early summer is from there and lots of local matches are won with them.
Shore crab does live longer in the fridge and lasts longer in the freezer though.
