Fished today with my 8yr old at gateshead behind the stadium.One of the best sessions i`ve had in a while down here,Codling a shade under 2lb on first chuck followed by fish nearly every cast till it lashed down.Some excellent sized whiting too and 2 flounder.Had 9 codling the biggest 2lb.fresh yellows frozen blacks and a bit crab did the damage.The big whiting took the crab most the codling favoured the lug.

I fished by the paint factory which must be half a mile away at high tide last night and caught nothing. Not even a bite. You could have left some for me :red:

fished the same place tonight started off ok with a few half decent whiting,then died off,had a raking bite and missed it...gutted,not to worry had a few small codling too,nowt size though but great to be out in anycase....cheers.

fished the river again last night,started at the paints,had one size whiting there,then it went quiet.Moved up to the stadium area oppositest peters basin,plenty of small codling well under size though.Hope it picks up again.

Fished same area tonight had 3 size flatties and that was it,very quiet not one codling or whiting,only using up some rag and peeler.Was a few lads fishing further along near the schooner pub.
