thinking of fishing the tyne this week for the first time this friday but i aint got the slightest idea how to get there or any of the marks along the river just wondering if any of you lads would be willing to help me out abit cheers daz

not too sure to be honest mate never fished it before like i sayits going to be a first time for me

Try the walkway at South Shields for codlings/whiting/coalies and the odd flat.
Same at Viking park where the Police Marine Unit is based.
Both are comfortable venues and not too snaggy.
North side is a bit restricted - try the old ice house site (if its still accessible) or Commisioners Quay.
