Tynemouth Beach Tuesday night

Went out at 10pm and had a couple of casts in Stoney Bottom until the tide dropped out far enough to get on to Slaty Gut. Nothing doing so moved on to the Gut. First cast a nice fresh run cod tipping the scales at 4 lb 3 ozs. Rang home to see if swmbo wanted any fresh fish. No was the reply as we've got plenty of meat in the fridge. Let it go.Next cast a small codling 14 ozs. Another couple of cast for nothing . Moved in to the harbour at midnight. First cast a big rockling then nothing next cast. Was feeling cold and it was approaching 1 am so called it a night. Spent ten minutes clearing the snow off the car before heading home.
Heading out again tonight at 10 hoping for some good sport.
Cheers

Me and Stewy07 went to Whitley Beach last night.

Perfect sea running - not a sniff, just a sniffle...... Completely baltic!

Spoke to a lad fishing panama and he'd had nothing all night! Where are they hiding....

Going to take my barometer with me next time! lol

Gonig out again tomorrow night - fingers crossed.

Mark, I could see some lights around Sharpness on tuesday night and thought they must be loosing some gear fishing there in that sea. Fished until 12-30 last night and ended up with one small codling 2 lb 6 ozs which was returned alive. No more bites just more hailstones.
